On Friday 2nd October, the first Walk With Scott Foundation Golf Day took place at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club on their spectacular East Course.
The sun was shining as 60 golfers took the challenge on playing in their teams of 4 in a Texas Scramble format. As the golfers arrived they were given a goody bag full of treats and also they received their breakfast roll and coffee.
There was a great buzz and atmosphere around the full event. Once all the teams had tee’d off, we were welcomed by Colin – Director of Sales at Dalmahoy to draw the raffle where there were some great prizes on offer.
The players passed the registration desk after the ninth and updated us on how they were getting on. The scores were very close and meant it was going down to the wire!
As the teams completed their round they were treated to a cupcake donated by Kick’s Kakes and also found out if they had won any raffle prizes. We were also finding out the scores as they were coming in so had an idea of who was winning.
The final teams came in and 2 of our teams had the same score! A count back was on the cards and by half a shot we found out the winning team (pictured above) with an impressive score of 58 (15 under par).
A special thanks to our sponsor Cut Price Timber for their generosity and to all our contributions made by businesses to make this event a success. All at Walk With Scott Foundation would also like to say a special thanks to Sean McPhee for organising and running the event.
